With only a few weeks left until the Obamas evacuate the White House, local residents noticed contractors have been busy preparing the family’s $5.3 million mansion in more ways than one.
The Obama family is set to move out of the White House in just a few weeks, so they’ve been busy getting their lavish $5.3 million D.C. mansion renovated for their arrival. However, local residents soon noticed that something is being added to their enormous home that has caused quite the controversy.
There are 2 issues over which Barack Obama has expressed ardent passion through both his emotional addresses and flippant executive orders — gun control and Islam. In fact, we’re often forced to watch uncomfortably as he sheds crocodile tears over gun violence and lectures the Christian majority on how peaceful Islam is after a jihadist carries out one of the Quran’s 109 verses of violence.
While the Democratic Party blindly lauded each misty-eyed sermon from their political savior, they’re starting to see as he exits the Oval Office that even he didn’t believe his policies thrust upon the American people are good enough for his own family.
The Daily Mail reports that Barack and Michelle decided to move into a “humble” 8,200 square-foot home in Kalorama so that 15-year-old Sasha can finish out high school at her expensive private establishment. However, that’s not all they noticed.
According to construction permits obtained by celebrity news outlet TMZ, Barack, who ran his presidential campaign with pro-gun control and open borders policies, has hired contractors to build a security fence around the mansion and will upgrade his security detail in a hypocritical move.
Barack Obama hired contractors to construct a large security fence around the house and upgrade the security system he’ll add to his lifetime Secret Service detail.
Barack wouldn’t be trying to keep people out, would he? After all, he should be building bridges, not walls.
Barack, who blamed legal gun owners instead of Black Lives Matter rioters for risking the safety of police officers in July, is at least following his own advice in one way. Of course, it’s easy to disarm yourself and remain safe when you legislate your own personal security detail. In fact, the Secret Service are already guarding the mansion while the system is being installed before the Obamas even arrive.
In 2013, Barack signed a bill that will allow every former president to have Secret Service protection for the rest of their lives. By doing so, he guaranteed his family’s safety under the guise of protecting former presidents who are still living.
With their pricey renovations, Michelle proves once again that “someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else,” namely herself, “can have more.”
Barack hasn’t said whether he’ll lead by example and take in some of the Syrian refugees he demands we resettle, but we’re guessing there just isn’t enough room in the 8,200 square-foot home for a poor migrant child.
Never mind that the Democratic president urged tighter restrictions to make it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to obtain firearms. Never mind that he forced communities all over the country to take in unvetted Muslim migrants, then condemned peaceful Christians when said migrants committed heinous acts of terrorism. He just wants to protect his family from thugs who don’t obey gun laws and outsiders who would cross onto his property illegally. Oh, the irony.
As expected, Barack will continue his efforts to push for immigration reform and other issues in his political. The group Organizing For Action has even committed to pressuring “climate change deniers” by “turning up the heat” on anyone who opposes their progressive theories.
We’re glad to see the Obamas leave the White House for many reasons, however, it looks like they’ll still be preaching to us about equality and charity from the safety and luxury of their elite tower. Fortunately, Barack’s new offices don’t come with a pen and a phone that can unconstitutionally infringe upon our liberties.
