Congressman Duncan Hunter is utterly disturbed after seeing a liberal prize-winning painting, hanging in a place of honor on a wall at the Capitol. After having to look at it for days, the former Marine decided to take matters into his own hands and ripped it right off the wall. When you see the disgusting image in this so-called prize-winning painting, you’ll understand why patriots are cheering that it’s gone.
“Protest” painting (left) by David Pulphus was awarded 1st place by Congressman William Lacy Clay (right). The “art” depicts the police as pigs.
The painting is called “protest art” and depicts the Ferguson anti-police riots in August 2014, but it’s not a piece of art; it’s a piece of crap. We already know how much the liberal lawmakers love Black Lives Matter, even though the riots in Ferguson were based on a huge lie surrounding the death of Micheal Brown.
GOP Congressman Duncan Hunter of California has been asked by patriots to take down the painting by David Pulphus. It depicts the police as pigs, and it is not something that should be placed in a place of honor anywhere. What’s more disturbing, it’s a prize-winning piece of art:
“He [David Pulphus] was recognized with a first place certificate in Missouri’s 1st Congressional District as part of the United States Congressional Art Competition at the end of April.” [via St. Louis American]
The painting was selected to hang in the Capitol by the office of Congressman William Lacy Clay, a Democrat from Missouri. It has hung at the Capitol in a tunnel that connects lawmakers’ offices at the Longworth Building with the Capitol since a June ceremony for winners of the contest.
Duncan Hunter, sick and tired of having to look at it and with informed patriots pissed off all over the country, decided he wasn’t waiting for someone in authority to take it down. “I was angry,” Rep. Duncan Hunter, told Fox News. “I’ve seen the press [reporting] on this for about a week or so. I’m in the Marine Corps. If you want it done, just call us.”
“Hunter said he walked over to the artwork Friday morning with a few colleagues and unscrewed it. He then delivered it to the office of Rep. Lacy Clay, D-Mo., the congressman whose office had allowed the piece to be displayed. The painting was done by a high school student and had won Clay’s annual Congressional Art competition in May.” [via Fox News]
Duncan Hunter (white shirt, center, in the image on left and in a close-up on right) is a former Marine who enlisted after 9/11 and ran for Congress while still serving in Afghanistan. He currently represents CA-52 District and made headlines after he took down the offensive protest painting.
More than 27,000 law enforcement professionals had been protesting the display of what they called a “reprehensible, repugnant, and repulsive” painting in the hallway of the Capitol. After being told the piece was removed, Ron Hernandez, president of the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, said in a statement Friday they were “very pleased.”
We are very pleased too, thanks to no-nonsense Duncan Hunter, who heard the outcry of his constituents, many of whom are the hard working LA County Deputies who asked him, as their representative, to make sure that painting ended up where it belongs. The painting is with the far leftist nutjob Congressman Clay who gave it a prize, proving his priorities are un-American as he glorifies thug life and praises those who insult our police.
